New Jersey – Neighbors called police when they heard a woman screaming “help me!”  When the police could not get anyone to answer the door they kicked it in to find a very spirited cockatoo screaming.  The bird has learned most of its vocabulary from television in both English and Spanish.

A Brooklyn couple that was murdered left a set of bizarre wills that berated and belittled many of the folks they left behind.

What a couple of jerks.

Australia – A whale calf was found nuzzling boats in an effort to find a surrogate mother.  The whale is still suckling and would need to find a pod with a lactating mother that would accept the rogue calf.  Researchers are skeptical, thinking that an adoption is unlikely.

Arkansas – In one of our nation’s poorest neighborhoods the local law enforcement has moved to drastic measures to help curb the high crime rate: a 24-hour curfew.  This area boasts problems like drug violence and many residents sleep on the floor of their homes to avoid stray bullets.

No one has been arrested for curfew violation but many have been questioned leading to felony arrests.  While some may consider the curfew unconstitutional, the local authorities believe that the safety of the residents in the area outweighs the infringement.

Giant wind turbines are being linked to various disorders showing up in people living less than two miles from them.  The constant vibrations can cause inner ear problems, behavioral problems in children, difficulty sleeping, night terrors, headaches and panic attacks.  These problems vanish once people leave the area with the turbines. 

As you might expect, the developer of the turbines does not find any credibility in the claims.

A woman in Texas was caught in a 2 day exorcism ordeal that left her with bruises.  When she tried to take her case to the Supreme Court the lawsuit was thrown out citing the First Amendment.   This happened some time ago, the girl is now a 29 year old woman.

There have been plenty of stories about dumb crooks robbing places with insane “weapons”. 

West Virginia – A man tries to rob a video store with an empty Jello box.

North Carolina – A man tries to rob a lingerie store with a fake playdoh bomb.

Indiana – A man tries to rob a bar with a cheese grater.

Maryland – A man tries to rob a convience store, beats the clerk with a banana.

Brisbane, Australia – A man robs a gas station armed with a light bulb.

A man in Arkansas tried to attach jumper cables to power his house after his electricity was shut off. He killed himself in this ridiculous endeavor.

A man in Brooklyn, NY was put into a mental institution after he broke open walls in multiple apartments looking for a cat.  Doctors were not buying that he was literally trying to save a cat that went exploring in the walls.
