24-hour curfew town

Arkansas – In one of our nation’s poorest neighborhoods the local law enforcement has moved to drastic measures to help curb the high crime rate: a 24-hour curfew.  This area boasts problems like drug violence and many residents sleep on the floor of their homes to avoid stray bullets.

No one has been arrested for curfew violation but many have been questioned leading to felony arrests.  While some may consider the curfew unconstitutional, the local authorities believe that the safety of the residents in the area outweighs the infringement.

  1. “The citizens deserve peace, that some infringement on constitutional rights is OK and we have not violated anything as far as the Constitution.”

That’s my favorite quote from that article.

Peace by home imprisonment, not through actual police work or surveillance. God forbid you jones for a hamburger late at night.

    Gotta love conservatives.
