Australia – A whale calf was found nuzzling boats in an effort to find a surrogate mother. The whale is still suckling and would need to find a pod with a lactating mother that would accept the rogue calf. Researchers are skeptical, thinking that an adoption is unlikely.
24-hour curfew town
Arkansas – In one of our nation’s poorest neighborhoods the local law enforcement has moved to drastic measures to help curb the high crime rate: a 24-hour curfew. This area boasts problems like drug violence and many residents sleep on the floor of their homes to avoid stray bullets.
No one has been arrested for curfew violation but many have been questioned leading to felony arrests. While some may consider the curfew unconstitutional, the local authorities believe that the safety of the residents in the area outweighs the infringement.

Giant wind turbines are being linked to various disorders showing up in people living less than two miles from them. The constant vibrations can cause inner ear problems, behavioral problems in children, difficulty sleeping, night terrors, headaches and panic attacks. These problems vanish once people leave the area with the turbines.
As you might expect, the developer of the turbines does not find any credibility in the claims.
